marks what would have been the 70th earthly birthday of His Grace, the Late Archbishop Augustine Akubeze—a milestone we observe with profound reverence, deep gratitude, and enduring affection.
Archbishop Akubeze carried the sacred weight of his calling with exceptional grace, embodying the true spirit of a noble chieftain and a devoted father to all.
He was a monumental pillar of wisdom whose intellect and unyielding faith illuminated the path for countless souls.
The sheer magnitude of the faithful and clergy who continuously gathered around him served as a living testament to the immense respect, honor, and love he inspired throughout his ministry.
Even nature bore witness to his sanctified life. On the day he was laid to rest, as intense heat threatened the afternoon, the heavens opened to deliver a brief, soothing shower—a divine cooling of the earth that felt as though creation itself lowered its head to honor a truly great shepherd.
At 70, though he no longer walks among us, his spiritual lineage remains vibrant. His legacy lives on in every heart he touched, every life he elevated, and the Church he shepherded with sacrificial devotion.
Heaven has truly welcomed a faithful servant, a noble patriarch, and an irreproachable man of God.
