It was a joyful and memorable gathering today at the Cardinal’s Court, Ikoyi, as we joined His Eminence, Anthony Cardinal Okogie, in thanksgiving to God for the 55th Anniversary of his Episcopal Ordination.
The celebration, originally scheduled for Saturday, 29th August 2026, was postponed to today due to the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Exercise.
Joining the Cardinal in marking this significant milestone were Rev. Fr. Francis Ike, Rev. Fr. Stephen Akinsowon and Rev. Fr. Theophilus Inegbeneboh, alongside Dames Winifred Akpani and Antoine Fatayi Williams. Also present were a seminarian and other gentlemen who came to share in the joy of the occasion.
His Eminence was visibly delighted and in high spirits throughout the gathering. He warmly received everyone present and imparted his blessing on them.
The occasion was a beautiful expression of gratitude to God for the life, vocation and many years of dedicated episcopal service of Anthony Cardinal Okogie, particularly his immense contribution to the growth and development of the Church in Lagos and beyond.
We continue to thank God for His Eminence and pray that the Lord will graciously preserve him, strengthen him with good health and peace, and continue to surround him with His abundant blessings. Amen.
